Useful tips to ensure your storage containers last as long as possible:
- Clean your storage containers before first use.
- All storage containers can go in the dishwasher.
- Use mild household cleaning products that are suitable for cleaning plastic according to the product information.
- Do not use solvent and alchohol-based substances.
- Never use a glass cleaner. Glass cleaners contain solvent-containing substances.
- Do not use caustic, chemical agents or abrashive cleaning agents.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth.

Our glass EasyClip containers are dishwasher safe. They can also be washed by hand using warm water, mild detergent and a gentle brush or sponge. Do not use a scouring pad
You can remove stubborn and burnt-on food residue by filling the dish with warm water and washing-up liquid and letting it soak. Pour warm water and a little washing-up liquid into the dish and soak for about an hour. Then wash the container with a sponge and/or brush for a sparkling clean result in no time. Afterwards, dry the dish with a clean tea towel.

We do not recommend removing the rim of the lid. This could damage the lid. After cleaning the lids of the Modula storage containers, water may remain behind the edges. If you tap the lid in the palm of your hand a few times after cleaning, all drops trapped between the rim and the lid will be released.
Cracks in your Modula storage container are likely to be caused by "Environmental Stress Cracking". This is one of the most common causes of cracks and splits in plastic.
You can prevent this by not exposing your Modula storage containers to large fluctuations in temperature, moisture and excessive temperature. We therefore recommend using a dishwashing programme with a maximum of 65-70ºC.
We recommend placing the Cirqula multi bowl in the microwave for a maximum of 2 minutes at 600-750 watts.
When doing so, it is important to stir regularly to heat the contents evenly.

We are often asked if the Mepal Cirqula multi bowl's lid is microwave safe. It's an obvious question since the bowl itself can be used in the microwave. Unfortunately, the lid cannot.
Why can't the Cirqula lid be used in the microwave?
The multi bowl's lid is not suitable for the microwave because of the material it is made from. Temperature differences in a microwave oven can cause this material to expand or shrink, which means the lid may not form a perfect seal afterwards.

The Cirqula multi bowl is best sealed by pressing the lid and simultaneously lifting the rim of the lid slightly. This way, some air escapes and you create a small vacuum, making the lid stay on even better.

Our EasyClip food storage containers are made of borosilicate glass.
The main advantages of borosilicate glass:
- Safer to use: borosilicate glass is stronger and more shock-resistant than normal glass. The glass storage containers can take a beating and are less likely to break or shatter.
- Light and clear glass: borosilicate glass is 10% lighter than normal glass. This makes the containers less heavy and therefore easier to use. In addition, the glass is scratch-resistant.
- Heat resistant: the melting point of borosilicate glass is higher than that of normal glass. As a result, the glass bowls have strong heat resistance and can withstand rapid temperature changes well. The food storage container can therefore be put straight into the oven from the freezer (from -20°C to 200°C).
- Handy to know: the glass dishes are microwave and oven safe. But can also be used on the barbecue and in the airfryer (maximum 550°C).
- Gets less hot: borosilicate glass absorbs heat less quickly. Therefore, when heating the food in the microwave, the dish becomes less hot than the food itself.
- No discolouration: the glass does not turn red or yellow when using tomato or curry sauce, for example.
- Made of 25-30% recycled glass.
